So this summer I am going on a 4,262 mile bike trip from Virginia to Oregon. This is something I've wanted to do for awhile and was on my list of things to accomplish by 25 (well I am 25, close enough, right?) The great thing is my mom is going with me!! We'll start out in Yorktown, Virginia, and end in Florence, OR. We will be camping primarily, but hopefully sleeping in a bed every now and then. The goal is to do around 70 miles a day, although hopefully a little more in the flatter states. And of course we want to enjoy some days off. At the 1/2 way point (which is about Pueblo, CO) we'll take a couple day break & go to Denver to visit Molly, which of course I am extremely excited about. The goal is to keep up this blog for the majority of the trip, but as I don't know what our computer access will be (or how high my motivation levels will be after riding through the Appalachians fueled by pb&j). But even if it's not kept up a lot during the trip, I plan on posting a lot of info & pictures afterwards. And prior to the trip I'll post more info
